Economy
Woodinville's economy, a mix of retail, tourism and light industrial, has become better known for its local wineries. These wineries showcase wines from grapes grown in Eastern Washington including Chateau Ste. Michelle (known for its summer concert series), Columbia Winery and dozens of others. Many of its wineries offer tasting, winemaker dinners, wine clubs and other special events. One of the largest events is the Passport to Woodinville Weekend (April). The Woodinville Wine Country is a group of local wineries "dedicated to enlightening the public about the premium wineries of Woodinville, Washington."
There are several fine restaurants including The Herbfarm “destination” restaurant and the Redhook Ale Brewery found in the Woodinville Tourist District. Molbak’s Garden and Home, a nationally recognized garden center, is also found in the downtown area.
